Christopher Kufek, Chef

Christopher Kufek was born in West Hills, California.  Chris began his restaurant career washing dishes at the Argentine Café Buenos Aires in Santa Barbara and later earned a cook position there. After a year in Santa Barbara,  he would move on to a short stint to train under James Beard award winner chef Gavin Kaysen at El Bizcocho at the Rancho Bernardo Inn located in San Diego, California.

Now at 27 years old, Chef Chris has worked his way up the culinary ladder to become the Chef de Cuisine at the historic Saddle Peak Lodge. In addition to his talents in the kitchen he is also a highly skilled finish carpenter, metal worker and cabinet maker. On his days off he can be seen teeing off at the local golf course, in most likely a bright colored shirt and golf knickers.
